I like both. Perhaps those who doesn’t like shounen much and likes story with darker tone will chose death note(even though both are shounen but for me death note feels more like seinen). I almost chose death note but thinking about it again after L died and the appearance of N the story even though still good but not as good as when there is still L(perhaps this is also because I hope more on Light to win not that N). Fullmetal however even though I’m not a big fan of shounen still god me hook because the story is nice, the fighting is cool and also most importantly for me it doesn’t feel like the quality dropped in my eyes(death note is good but the quality dropped a bit after L died and Light is not as competent and clever after L died(he is clever but not as clever as he used to be) also Light doesn’t feel right anymore a bit(not his wish but just, I think the Light that I watch for 28 episodes wouldn’t put to much faith in his people unlike in N’s appearance and I’m a bit mad that he actually lost for such stupid reason, he should have WON). Sorry that the post is long.
Yes, I loved both series; but Fullmetal Alchemist brotherhood is more well-rounded. It deals with a variety of themes - including the dark side of human nature - and it does that so beautifully!
I wonder how many ppl voted that haven’t seen both...
I'm giving it to DN, not after season 1. But before it, I don't think fmab is as good.
Well it depends. Both are good bur Death Note is more serious in the depth of story while because fmab is action shounen so for those who didn’t like action that much then death note is better then fmab but for those who like shounen MC that still isn’t to much of a prick and has good story(DN is good but it is focused on story and has psychological tag in terms of depth DN is more then fmab) and the fighting is good as well (the not so much use of cgi is a plus as well) then fmab is a good pick. So if someone wants serious story and doesn’t like shounen MC(even though DN is shounen in name but it feels like seinen instead) then Death Note. If someone doesn’t want that much seriousness and instead wants more action with some comedy and a bit seriousness sometimes then fmab is a good pick.
What do you think?
