Can’t say since I haven’t seen it. It seems eccentric from the premise, but that’s why someone who’s trying to get into anime shouldn’t watch it (only my opinion). For example, I wouldn’t recommend someone new to anime something like Steins;Gate because they’re quite thrilling for the average weeb but probably not for a newbie otaku.
I’d say the same for FMA and AOT, just wouldn’t be nice to watch for someone new to anime. I watched AOT when I’d watched 10-15 anime, and I tried watching FMA brotherhood around the same time, but I gave up on it about 4 times because it wasn’t interesting. Of course, that probably wouldn’t be the case if I tried watching it now, but only because of how many anime I’ve watched.
From here I’ve only watch Attack on titan and devil man crybaby but for a new weeb I’d probably say one punch man just bc it’s more on the comedy side and that is usually appealing for newbies. Also it’s supposed to be good.
