Suppose a Kid from the Last Dungeon Boonies moved to a starter town?
Cells at Work (it worked well and I found myself legitimately enjoying it more than I had expected)
Ouran High School Host Club (I knew other people loved it, but it really didn’t seem like something I’d like at all so I was very pleasantly surprised when it, well, ended up being as good as it is)
Banana Fish (I’d read and liked the manga so I was a bit hesitant to watch the show, especially with the major time period change right off the bat. I wasn’t sure how it would be as an adaptation, but I must say it turned out being very good and I ended up enjoying it more than the manga)
Attack on Titan (I had watched all of MHA and never really gotten invested, and so I just felt like it was going to go into AoT with all this hype around it and would end up underwhelmed. However, that wasn’t the case and I’m such a bit fan now!!)
Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (I just didn’t know it was gonna be that good)
Mobile Suit Gundam Stardust Memory 0083. I expected it to be a boring sidestory (I'm always bored with the 1980 settings sometimes with it only being in space) It's actually really good. The animation, the story, and everything that isn't the love triangle, is actually really good. 8th MS Team was my only number one but after comparing it with 0083 and seeing Shiro's plot armor in 8th MS Team (the series is so awesome that people aren't able to see his plot armor), it's like right next to each other. They're both so awesome.

Kotoura San
Your Lie in April. I started watching it completely blind, so I didn't know the character was a pianist. And that was a pleasant surprise that made me relate to him.
