Yeah I get what you mean. Naruto vs Kurama was more emotionally heavy compared to Asta vs Liebe. But I think that it's kinda was it's major flaw.

These kind of battles where the MC fights his inner demon; its supposed to show how the MC compares to his inner demon or how strong is he without his demon. I think Naruto vs Kurama failed to show it properly. Asta vs Liebe was a full on battle of skills, and I think it showed more than enough of what Asta can do without his Anti-Magic powers and without his dominant arm.
