Many more interesting things can happen in anime, because the cost to do the same in live-action is really high.
Live-action can still be good for interesting dialogue, good stories, and good plots. Also, some source material for anime is made into live-action that is as good or better than the anime. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen. Some examples are ERASED, O Maidens in Your Savage Season, and The Way of the Househusband.
