They haven’t specifically said that it’s due to Sony, it’s probably just that the contracts/ licensing rights that crunchyroll had for those series are ending. This means that they can no longer hold these series on their platform.

I've never liked Sentai Filmworks, so it doesn't surprise me too much. Fortunately, I've seen all the ones in that list I like for the most part, so them leaving is no big deal.

Hulu announces anime leaving like every 6 months and then magically they unexpire like 2 months later.

We'll see if they stay off Crunchyroll that long. It won't surprise me if most of them come back in less than a year.

FYI, Sony Music really has nothing to do with anime except maybe some seiyuu that it represents in a subsidiary (mostly because they are primarily singers).
