Does not come close to making up for losing Sentai Filmworks and cutting ad-supported, free anime viewing.
"Crunchyroll and FUNimation are competitors no longer. Now merged into a single company under their parent company Sony, this new incarnation of Crunchyroll is the largest and most powerful anime company outside of Japan."
"Pay rates for dubbing are among the lowest in the acting business, and the problem is even worse in anime."

So much for the mostly updsides... Sentai Filmworks pulling their catalog and now this...
Crunchyroll hid this news in their help pages (but an eagle-eyed ANN reader found it): https://help.crunchyroll.com/hc/en-us/articles/4962816171412-Changes-to-Ad-Supported-Viewing-
After the Sony buyout between Funimation and Crunchyroll, Sentai Filmworks anime has dropped out of service....thanks to AMC buying Sentai
Question: Does Sentai had some anime under Sony music and also the Crunchyroll?
Sony bought Crunchyroll a while back, and now they’ve decided to make it their main anime streaming service by the looks of things.
For those who don’t want to read the article, here are the major changes:
All new anime that would come to Funimation will now come to Crunchyroll only.
Funimation and Wakanim’s exclusive shows (including exclusive dubs) will slowly become available to watch on Crunchyroll.
Those who have a Funimation premium subscription will receive a 60 day free trial of Crunchyroll premium.
Having a Funimation subscription is now useless, as you can’t watch any new upcoming anime on there. Funimation advise you to cancel your subscription and pay for Crunchyroll premium instead.
I think this makes things easier as I can just cancel my Funimation subscription now and only have to pay for Crunchyroll. I don’t have to check which of these two services will have seasonal shows now anymore.
