Agatha Christie's Great Detectives Poirot and Marple (アガサ·クリスティーの名探偵ポワロとマープル, Agasa Kurisutī no Meitantei Powaro to Māpuru) is a Japanese anime series produced by Studio OLM for NHK. It aired from July 4, 2004 to May 15, 2005 for 39 episodes, followed by a manga adaptation from 2004 and 2005.

Plot[edit | edit source]

Adapted from the mystery novels from Agatha Christie, the story focuses on her great-niece, Mabel West; the daughter of mystery writer Raymond West. Mabel wants to be a great detective against her father's wishes and sets out for London to become assistant to none other than Hercule Poirot, the great Belgian detective. She finally wins the reluctant approval of her father and embarks on an exciting life of mystery and suspense—his only demand being that she occasionally spend time with her great-aunt, Jane Marple, in the small village of St. Mary Mead.
