Akame ga Kill! (アカメが斬る!, Akame ga Kiru!; lit. "Red-Eye Kill!!") is a Japanese shōnen manga series written by Takahiro and illustrated by Tetsuya Tashiro. It was serialized in Gangan Joker from March 20, 2010 to December 22, 2016. The series was licensed by Yen Press in June 2014. An anime adaptation aired from July 7, 2014 to December 15, 2014.

A prequel, Akame ga Kill! Zero, began serialization in Monthly Big Gangan from October 2013.

A continuation of Akame ga Kill!, Hinowa ga Yuku (ヒノワが行く!), began serialization in Monthly Big Gangan from Jun 24, 2017.

Plot[]

Akame ga Kill![]

Tatsumi is a fighter who just got robbed by a pretty girl, but his luck seems to be looking up, as another pretty girl has taken him in. What he doesn’t know is that this girl is about to be visited by a family of assassins (including the girl who robbed him) and they might be the good guys, and be recruiting.

Akame ga KILL! Zero[]

The "dark action" story will take place a few years before the events in the original fantasy series. The prequel will center on the title character Akame, a girl bought, brainwashed, and raised by the Empire as an assassin.

Hinowa ga Yuku[]

Hinowa ga Yuku

In a distant eastern country called Wakoku. Battles for the survival of the fittest have lasted a century in Wakoku. Hinowa is an obscure girl caught in the midst of the upheaval. With resolve in her heart, she will tear these chaotic times asunder.
