The series was adapted into an [[anime]] television series by [[A-1 Pictures]] during 2011 and into an anime film ''Blue Exorcist the Movie'' (''Ao no Exorcist Gekijouban'') in December 2012. Ordinarily, travel between the two, and indeed any kind of contact between the two, is impossible.
