Super Yo-Yo (超速スピナー, Chōsoku Supinā) is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Takashi Hashiguchi, and was serialized in Shogakukan's CoroCoro Comic magazine between December 1997 and August 2000. The anime adaptation produced by Xebec, ran from November 1998 to September 1999.

Plot[edit | edit source]

Shunichi Domoto is a talented, sportive 5th-grader who is used to help sports teams in his school. He enters a Yoyo duel against a bully boy called Benkei to help his friend, Beso, to get back his Yoyo back from the bully. After beating the bully, Shunichi meets the exceptionally gifted Yoyoer, Seito Hojoin, who beat him while he ridiculed the Yoyo game. So, Shunichi enters Japan's Yoyo championship to get his revenge from his loss with Seito. Throughout this Championship, he learns new Yoyoing Skills and meets powerful rivals.
