Middle Manager Tonegawa (中間管理録 トネガワ, Chuukan Kanriroku Tonegawa) is s Japanese manga written and illustrated by Nobuyuki Fukumoto. It is one of the spin-offs from Nobuyuki's previous work, Kaiji. The manga was serialized in Monthly Young Magazine on July 20, 2015 before moving to Kodansha's Comic Days manga app on March 5, 2018. An anime adaptation by Madhouse premiered July 3, 2018 on Nippon TV's AnichU programming block with Sentai Filmworks having licensed the anime. Episodes 14 (starting October 10, 2018), 15, and 22 of the anime adaptation were actually adaptations of the manga Ichinichi Gaishutsu-roku Hanchou.[1]

Plot[edit | edit source]

Yukio Tonegawa is the right-hand man of Kazutaka Hyoudou, the president of the Teiai Corporation and owner of numerous gambling tournaments. After Hyoudou is getting bored with his life, he orders Tonegawa to organize a so-called "game of death" as it is his and his subordinate's job to keep the president in a good mood. Tonegawa must cooperate with his subordinates in order to make the president happy and what follows is a humorous story of his interactions with his subordinates and other characters of the Kaiji series.
