Dream-Colored Pastry Chef (夢色パティシエール, Yumeiro Patishiēru) also known as Yumeiro Patissiere (or Yume-iro Pâtissière), is a shōjo manga series by Natsumi Matsumoto. It began serialization on September 3, 2008, in the October 2008 issue of Ribon. The individual chapters have been collected into 12 tankōbon volumes by Shueisha. The series ended on June 3, 2011 with the last volume published on August 22, 2013. The manga won the 56th Shogakukan Manga Awards in the children's category.

The series was adapted into an anime TV series by Studio Pierrot and Studio Hibari. Season 1 premiered on October 4, 2009 and ran for 50 episodes to September 26, 2010. Season 1, SP Professional, premiered on October 3, 2010 and ran for 13 episodes to December 26, 2010. The series is licensed by Crunchyroll for online streaming with English subtitles.

Plot[]

14-year-old Ichigo Amano is incredibly clumsy and can't seem to do anything right besides eating cakes. When she stumbles upon a Sweets Festival, she meets Henri sensei who acknowledges her ability of taste and invites her to transfer to St. Marie Academy to become a pâtissière. Ichigo has trouble adjusting initially, but with the help of the 3 Sweets Princes and the Sweets Spirits, she gains the confidence and skill to work towards becoming a pâtissière!
