The King of Braves GaoGaiGar (勇者王ガオガイガー, Yūsha Ō GaoGaiGā) is a Japanese mecha anime television series in 1997, created by Sunrise's internal "Studio 7" under the direction of Yoshitomo Yonetani, and was the eighth and final instalment in the Brave metaseries funded by Takara. The series also co-exists with Betterman in the same universe.

Plot[]

2005 in the 21st Century, a mysterious extraterrestrial intelligence lifeform crash-landed on Earth and disappeared without a trace. Following this incident, the Japanese government created a secret defense organization to combat potential alien threats: the Gutsy Geoid Guard, or "GGG", based beneath G-Island City in Tokyo Bay. Now in present day, Parasitic alien life-forms known as "Zonderians" have begun to emerge; using the Zonder Metal as cores to create "Zonders." which uses humans as their hosts to exponentially grow from any machines it assimilates.

To ensure the threat is neutralized without casualties, GGG implements the "G-Stone" into their mecha blueprints derived from the overtechnology acquired from Galeon, a lion mechanoid which also crashlanded on Earth the same time as the first EI lifeform. In the process, it rescued the life of a young astronaut named Guy Shishiō by cyborg surgery, becoming the leader of the GGG Mobile Corps, and becoming the vanguard by fusing with Galeon and support Gao Machines to become the Super Mechanoid GaoGaiGar. All is prepared for GGG to combat and learn about the Zonder menace, especially when the mysteries also tie to a young boy named Mamoru Amami, and alien child raised on Earth who has purification powers that can save the assimilated human hosts.
