Guilty Crown (ギルティクラウン, Giruti Kuraun) is a 2011 Japanese anime television series produced by Production I.G which will air on Fuji TV's noitaminA program block in October 2011. The series is directed by Tetsuro Araki with scrip supervision by Hiroyuki Yoshino, character designs by redjuice, and music by Ryo, composer and lyricist of the Japanese band Supercell, and by Hiroyuki Sawano.
The anime takes place in Japan the year 2039, ten years after an unidentified "Apocalypse Virus" devastated the land in an incident known as Lost Christmas. A multinational organization known as GHQ brings the lawless country under control, but at the price of its sovereignty. Shü Ohma, an unsociable 17-year-old high school student, meets Inori Yuzuriha, lead singer for Egoist who is part of the Undertaker resistance group to liberate Japan. Together with Gai Tsutsugami, another member of the resistance, Shü and Inori fight with mysterious innate abilities known as "imperial powers."
