Idol Incidents (アイドル事変, Aidoru Jihen) is a Japanese media mix project by MAGES. The character designs are handled by various artists such as CUTEG, Tiv, Mottsun*, Akemi Mikoto, Yōsai Kūchū, Mamu Mitsumoto, and Yukihiro Matsuo. The project was initially announced as a game that planned to be released in Fall 2014, but was postponed until August of the same year. In Summer 2015, the same project was "rebooted" with changes to the work including the stories and characters. An anime adaptation by MAPPA and Studio VOLN was announced and aired on Tokyo MX and BS Fuji for 12 episodes from January 8, 2017 to March 26, 2017.
A manga adaptation was published in ASCII Media Works's seinen manga magazine Dengeki G's Comic from July 30, 2016 to August 30, 2017 and ran for 13 chapters and combined into 2 volumes. Even though it was supposed to be based on the anime, it ended up starting before the "rebooted" version of the anime premiered.
