I Want to Eat Your Pancreas (君の膵臓をたべたい, Kimi no Suizō o Tabetai) is a Japanese novel by Yoru Sumino. Initially serialized as a web novel in 2014, the book was published in print in 2015. A manga adaptation ran from 2016 to 2017. A live-action film titled Let Me Eat Your Pancreas premiered in 2017, and an anime film premiered on September 1, 2018.


The protagonist is a high school boy who finds the diary of his classmate, Sakura Yamauchi —and discovers that her tragic secret. She has been silently suffering from a pancreatic disease in school, and he has now become the one person outside her family who knows. He swears to her that he won't tell anyone, and the shared secret brings them closer together. The two have very little in common, but they find themselves drawn to each other in Sakura's final months to live.
