Lord of Vermilion (ロード・オブ・ヴァーミリオン, Rōdo obu Vāmirion) is a Japanese fantasy arcade collectible card game developed by Think Garage and distributed by Square Enix. New sequels followed from the series' growing development where they feature multiple collaborations with other franchises, followed by action RPG spinoffs developed for the Playstation Portable and Vita. An anime adaptation by Asread based on the first game entitled Lord of Vermilion: The Crimson King (Lord of Vermilion: Guren no Ou) premiered on July 13, 2018.

A multimedia mix from various Square Enix franchises, such as Valkyrie Profile characters and cards sharing the same monster elements and etymologies from the Final Fantasy series. Playing on an arcade-like surface, each player controls combat cards to destroy the enemy team's Arcana Stones and eliminate their servants in order to win. Either through story or online mode, the player can design and develop their own avatars, increasing their statistics and obtaining equipment.

The Crimson King (紅蓮の王)Edit

Tokyo, 2030. A high-frequency resonance occured in a suburban area, releasing a mysterious red mist that shrouded the entire town. All living things that hear the sounds, human and animal alike, lose consciousness. The phenomenon is assumed to be an unidentified virus, so due to fear of a spreading epidemic, Tokyo is sealed off from the rest of the country. About six months later, all the people who had lost consciousness awaken as if nothing ever happened. However, strange incidents start happening on that same day, and the city becomes engulfed by a chain of cruel destinies.
