The second cour of the anime aired from October 10, 2015 to December 26, 2015.

Set in the near future, after a virus devastates the world, the remainder of humanity are enslaved as livestock by vampires. Yūichirō Hyakuya and Mika Hyakuya plan to escape the underground city they are kept in along with their orphanage siblings.

Four years later, Yu aims to join a specialized military squad in revenge for what the vampires have done, making use of cursed gear to help with this. Mika aims to rescue Yu from the humans around him, even as more challenges threaten them both ranging from vastly more powerful vampires, demons, and the seraph of the end.
