The Ramune Series is a Japanese comedy-mecha series in the 1990s, where its TV animation and OVA were produced by Starchild Records.

The first season entitled NG Knight Lamune & 40 (NG騎士ラムネ&40, NG Naito Ramune & 40) aired for 39 episodes from April 6, 1990 to January 4, 1991, with 2 OVA series. The sequel entitled VS Knight Ramune & 40 Fire (VS騎士ラムネ&40炎, Basaasu Naito Ramune & 40 Fuaia) aired for 26 episodes from April 3 to September 25, 1996, with an epilogue OVA series.

NG Knight Lamune &40Edit

A game-loving grade-schooler named Lamune Baba encounters a little girl, whom he buys a cheap video-game called "King Sccasher" from. After clearing the game, the same girl appears from the video-game where she announces Lamune as the next hero by bringing him into the game's world. Learning that the girl is the princess of a kingdom, Lamune agrees to become this world's hero and save it from the evil Don Harumage.

VS Knight Lamune & 40 FireEdit

Taking place decades after the first series, the story focuses and parodies much around Lamune Baba's son, Lamunade Baba. One night, Lamunade is followed home by two strange peddler girls who give him a CD-rom game titled "The Legend of Lamuness" (based on the first series). After clearing the game, the same girls come appear and bring him to DokiDoki Space. Learning that he is the third descendant of the hero Lamuness, Lamunade travels with the girls Parfait and Cacao to stop Don Genosai from resurrecting the great evil Abraham.
