The Rescue Wing Series (レスキューウイングスシリーズ) is a Japanese aviation media franchise produced by Bandai Visual centered around JASDF Komatsu Airbase in Komatsu, Ishikawa Prefecture, Japan.

The following media is listed here:

  • A manga series Rescue Wings Zero (航空自衛隊小松基地救難隊 RESCUE WINGS ゼロ) written by Ohtsuka Tomii was serialized in Combat Magazine before moving to Kadokawa's Monthly Comic Flapper magazine which made a sequel with a title change.
  • A TV anime series titled Yomigaeru Sora -Rescue Wings- (よみがえる空 -Rescue Wings-) produced by J.C.Staff which aired on TV Tokyo in 2006. A manga series released alongside the anime titled Rescue Wings: RESCUE -EX (レスキューウイングス RESCUE-EX) from June 5, 2006. It was split in 2 versions following the perspectives of the double protagonists, Izumi Kawahara (from the ZERO manga) and Kazuhiro Uchida (from the anime).
  • A live-action film Rescue Wings (空へ-救いの翼 RESCUE WINGS-) adapted from the anime was produced by Kadokawa Pictures and directed by Masaaki Tezuka (who filmed the Godzilla films), which premiered on December 13, 2008. A sequel manga titled Rescue Wings: To the Sky (空へ レスキューウイングス) based on the film was released by NTT Solmare.
  • A novel titled Final Seeker: Rescue Wings (ファイナルシーカー レスキューウィングス) written by Issui Ogawa and illustrated by Nanashiki Yamamoto was published by MF Bunko J.


Yomigaeru Sora -Rescue Wings-[]

Kazuhiro Uchida is transferred to a rescue center located in a small town while training to become a fighter pilot. Initially, Kazuhiro thinks negatively about his new occupation, due to the difficult missions and the harsh discipline he receives from his seniors. However, over the course of his training, he begins to accept the job for what it is and becomes a true member of the rescue force.
