SPY x FAMILY (スパイファミリー, Supai Famirī), sometimes rendered as SPY×FAMILY, is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Tatsuya Endo. It began its biweekly serialization in Shueisha's Shounen Jump+ and Manga Plus on March 25, 2019.[1] Shueisha has collected and published 8 volumes in tankōbon format as of November 4, 2021.
Viz Media has licensed the English serialization of SPY x FAMILY in Shounen Jump on September 19, 2019.[2] Viz Media has announced release of physical volumes for Summer 2020.[3]
It was announced at the end of October 2021 that an anime adaptation by Wit Studio and CloverWorks was in production and would premiere in 2022.[4] The first cour premiered on April 9, 2022 and ran for 12 episodes to June 25, 2022. A second cour premiered October 1, 2022 and ran for 13 episodes to December 24, 2022.
During a stage presentation at AnimeJapan 2023 on March 26, 2023, both a Season 2 and a film, SPY×FAMILY Code: White, were announced to premiere in October and December 22 respectively later that year.[5]
Plot[]
The master spy codenamed <Twilight> has spent his days on undercover missions, all for the dream of a better world. But one day, he receives a particularly difficult new order from command. For his mission, he must form a temporary family and start a new life?! A Spy/Action/Comedy about a one-of-a-kind family!
