The Tatsunoko Bible Series (タツノコ聖書3部作) is a trilogy of anime series produced by Tatsunoko Productions and sponsored by the Word of Life Press Ministries which premiered in TV Tokyo.

The first series is titled Anime Oyako Gekijō (アニメ 親子劇場, lit. "Animated Parent-Child Theatre") in 1981 for 26 episodes.

The second series is titled The Flying House (トンデラハウスの大冒険, Tondera Hausu no Daibōken) in 1982 for 52 episodes.

The third series is titled Computer Travel Detectives (パソコントラベル探偵団, Pasokon Toraberu Tanteidan) in 1983 for 26 episodes as the sequel to the first series.

The trilogy was produced in conjunction with the Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) in the United States for English release, where the first and third series were compiled under the dub title Superbook. The series was eventually rebooted into a 3DCG series from 2011 by CBN with support from Asia-Pacific region animation studios along with locally based partners like Tokyo MX and Word of Life Press Ministries in Japan.


"Animated Parent-Child Theatre", also known as "Superbook Classic" ;The son of a famous scientist, Christopher Pepper, his best friend, Joy, and a toy robot called Gizmo explore the stories of the bible (Primary The Old Testament) after discovering a mysterious talking book with the power to take people and objects back in time.

"The Flying House"; 3 kids, Justin Cassy, Angela "Angie" Roberts, and Corky Roberts take refuge form a storm inside a large house in the woods, only to find a Professor Humphry Bumble and his assistant, SIR, are inside trying to make a working time machine. A lighting strike causes the house to "fly" back in time to the New Testament era, where they are trapped until the finale of the series.

"Computer Travel Detectives", also known as "Superbook II", or "Superbook Classic Season 2" is a direct sequel to the first installment in the series, taking place 2 years after the original ending. SB2 introduces sever new faces, including new series star Uri Peeper, who is the younger bother of Christopher Pepper. The sequel's overarching plot is the search for Christopher's dog, Ruffles, who had disappeared into a revamped "Super Computer."
