The Angel Next Door Spoils Me Rotten (お隣の天使様にいつの間にか駄目人間にされていた件, Otonari no Tenshi-sama ni Itsunomanika Dame Ningen ni Sareteita Ken.), abbreviated to The Angel Next Door (お隣の天使様, Otonari no Tenshi-sama), is a light novel series written by Saekisan and illustrated by Hanetoko. Originally published online on Shōsetsuka ni Narō, SB Creative has released 7 volumes of the series under their GA Bunko label through September 2022. A manga adaptation illustrated by Wan Shibata and composition by Suzu Yūki began serialization in Square Enix's online manga magazine Manga UP! since January 2022 resulting in 1 tankōbon volume as of July 2022.
An anime adaptation by Project No.9 was announced on January 4, 2022 and is expected to premiere sometime in January 2023.
Plot[]
On a rainy day high school student Amane sees his neighbor, the beautiful and popular Mahiru, alone in a park. Lending her his umbrella, Amane believes it will be the only time the two strangers from different social standings will interact. However, to repay his favor Mahiru offers to help Amane fix his unhealthy lifestyle. Soon the two slowly begin to develop a bond.
