Kono Yuusha ga Ore TUEEE Kuse ni Shinchou Sugiru (この勇者が俺TUEEEくせに慎重すぎる) is a Japanese light novel series written by Light Tuchihi and illustrated by Saori Toyota. It began serialization online in June 2016 on the novel publishing website Kakuyomu. It was acquired by Kadokawa Shoten, who published the first light novel volume in February 2017 under their Kadokawa Books imprint. Five volumes have been released as of April 2, 2019. The light novel series has been licensed in North America by Yen Press. A manga adaptation with art by Koyuki has been serialized in Fujimi Shobo's shōnen manga magazine Monthly Dragon Age since November 9, 2018. An anime television series adaptation by White Fox has been announced.
Plot
The story begins when the goddess Rista summons a hero to help her in a hard mode video game-like world. The hero, Seiya, is exceptional in every way, but he is incredibly cautious. He does things like buy three sets of armor (one to wear, a spare, and a spare for the spare) and go full power against weak slimes (just in case).
