The Minami Family

The Minami Family (みなみけ, Minami-ke) is a Japanese manga series by Koharu Sakuraba, who also authored Today, in Class 5-2. It was first serialized in the weekly Japanese manga magazine Young Magazine in 2004. The manga was adapted into an anime series by two studios. The first anime anime adaptation produced by Daume and distributed by StarChild first aired on October 7, 2007. Asread's adaptation first aired on January 6, 2008 under the title Minami-ke: Seconds (みなみけ～おかわり～, Minami-ke ~Okawari~; lit. "The Minami Family ~More~"). A third anime series under the title Minami-ke: Thirds (みなみけおかえり, Minami-ke Okaeri; lit. "The Minami Family Welcome Back") was first aired on January 4, 2009. An OVA Minami-ke: Another Rose (みなみけべつばら, Minami-ke: Betsubara; lit. "The Minami Family Different") was released on June 23, 2009. Another OVA Minami-ke: Sorry for the Wait (みなみけおまたせ, Minami-ke Omatase; lit. "The Minami Family Sorry for the Wait") was released on October 5, 2012. A fourth anime series under the title Minami-ke: I'm Home (みなみけただいま, Minami-ke Tadaima; lit. "The Minami Family I'm Home") was first aired on January 6, 2013. An OVA Minami-ke: Summer Vacation (みなみけ夏やすみ, Minami-ke Natsuyasumi) was released on August 6, 2013. On July 7, 2024, a fifth series was announced at Anime Expo 2024.

Plot[]

The three Minami sisters (Haruka, Kana, and Chiaki) live together, taking care of each other. With nobody to answer to but themselves and each other, the three sisters get up to some very odd shenanigans.
