Transformers (トランスフォーマー, Toransufōmā) is a toy franchise and multimedia metaseries created by American toy company Hasbro and Japanese toy company Takara (now TakaraTomy). Over the years, the metaseries has received fiction in the form of animation, manga, comics, live-action cinema, video games and one radio drama to promote the various toylines. Out of all 24 animated works, 6 were produced entirely in North America, 4 were produced by North American staff with animation provided by Japanese studios and 14 were entirely Japanese produced. 7 from the latter have never received an official English dub.
