Uke in Yaoi (Boys' Love) fanfiction is a term used commonly by fujoshi (female BL fans) meaning "bottom" and used to refer to the more passive, effeminate member of a BL pairing.

- Timid. Delicate. Troubled. Inexperienced.
- Shorter. Younger. Cute. Effeminate. Bishounen (美少年; aka "pretty boy")
- Takes the "woman" role in the gay relationship.
